I wasn't there.
Didn't see a need to be there, though Joses was apparently very very excited about it (check out http://01s70.blogspot.com for his post).
In fact, I was only near the place because I went down for Baybeats at around 11 pm. only to realise that they had already closed for the night. Nevermind. I did catch electrico the following night. My band does need a huge improvement.
Anyway, on to bloggers. So, Singapore has a HUGE blogosphere. Why, because we are Oh-so-small, our little tiny red dot of an island. This huge blogosphere stems from the fact that we are able to afford $2000 laptops and broadband, and thus spend most of our time socialising over the internet. You never read about Africa having a blogosphere. It's more like a few people blogging.
And frankly, Singaporeans have a tendency to be shy in person and a lot more "extroveted" when hidden behind a 15.4 inch wide screen LCD display. No wonder the IRC backchannel (i read, heard and saw in pictures) was so much more interesting than the auditorium itself.
So, congrats on Bloggers.sg 2005 being a success, as far as socialising goes. And of course, we all need our quick fixes on saturday nights. Be it, alcohol, drugs or just plain blogging.
